Poem -

As I lay -2

 As I lay -2

     As I lay

Now I lay me,

 beneath your thrown,

this burden I bare,

I ve bared for so long.

Your time has come,

 to address this pain,

The ground I’ve made,

is what keeps me sane.

Many hours have I spent,

with little hope have I seen,

I come to you now,

for my slate,

to be wiped clean.

If only they knew,

the heart ache I bare

and unfortunately,

 must endure,

My heart,

as an anglers line,

sinks heavy,

from such a lure.

All weary and torn,

tendered and tired,

Sometimes I feel,

my dreams have all expired.

My days are not spent,

counting, countless tears,

that I cry,

Though I do find myself,

feverishly questioning you,

of me, why.

I’ve lived and I’ve learned,

from the many heart aches,

of my life,

but do you, seem to know are care ,

that I was promised, as a wife.

You say the words,

we speak out loud,

is heard, as those,

not to have been spoken,

I ask of you now,

 to mend this wing,

for too long of it,

have I suffered,

 from it being broken.

The many nights,

 I’ve felt hopeless and alone,

my faith in you,

rightfully, was tested

all the many special dreams I have,

 threatened time, has simply,

though painfully, digested.

The many miles ,

I have traveled of this road,

though with no one to show,

 are carry me part way,

It’s you I have come ,

to depend on so strong,

and it’s you,

that I forever seek, as I pray.

Out with this empty,

Old cup of lost nights,

Replenished,

 with a full cup,

 of new day,

As I leave you this night,

with many thoughts of my plight,

please comfort me, as I lay.

So if this talk we just shared,

between the two of us,

gave prudence to no care,

Well than,

you have answered ,

all questions of me

yet never answered,

to me, one prayer.

I am giving all I have,

with not much more left to give,

Another dawn,

Will soon fall upon,

and all I ask of you………

Is a life,

To live,

brand new……….

      Jim

Appreciate the shout out Rachel and as i passed on my regards,(in conjunction to their eloquent writes) of the ladies above, you too have a style that grabs the soul of the reader and releases it, only after the story of your poem has been told and understood...Yours can only be duplicated, by no other than yourself and you, i stand to applaud and bow to your perfection in your writings.

Thank you,

Hello  and Thanks Valerie,

Its been a while since last i had an opportunity to read are write on this site and i miss the  camaraderie that  exuberates,  from not only this site but the people, (such as yourself), who nourishes it with their eloquent poems, stories, art and heart felt kind remarks. These are the attributes, that makes it worth while, being a part of the flow, of such warm receptions rendered by such astonishing individuals.Your works are amazing, full of inspiration and a must to be read,(by all). You have a knack with giving praise to all, when the receiver  expects none are can't see the achievement in their own work, which makes the rendered comment, just that much more special and thankful for. You dear lady, have an admirer of all of your (amazing) works, by me, for life. Hope all is well with you and that with the support of time and answered prayers, you continue to defy all odds and triumph to the fullest in the much deserved wonders in life that justifiably awaits you from this day forward... You are the epitome of the word hero and hero's are few to none to come by and rare, to any ones lifetime....So i am proud to say, Thanks (Heroine), for being the person and the continuous fighter, that you so courageously are.....

Thank you immensely my friend,

Jimmy Arnold

Your words are full of feelings and you convey them very well. This is a sad reflection of life with a partner that does not give as much as they receive. Leaving the other to feel left out and lonely. Great job, Anthony

A friend and emotional fighter on this site, is she,(Valerie Lynn),that deserves all the support and encouragement that can be rendered from all on this site and the man above as well...She's a good hearted person, whom is well over-due for her blessing, from the man above....Thanks again my friend and your works of poetry are appealing, eye catching and a pleasure to read...

Thanks Partner,

Her works will not leave you guessing of its reason for existence and you will surely enjoy, not only the works of the poetess but her strong frame of mind and heart as well....She is a true champion, to life itself....William your works speaks of a calculative, methodical master of the poetry, that you pose to your readers and in your poems, you fluently recite, it appears, without any form of tension attached....Like your style...Thanks again William, be cool....

Kindest of regards,
Jim

The reader knows the truth of the

JAI,
You could have not been more right, than you have...When i wrote this piece, i definately felt the residue of pain,(no where near what V.L. felt),but the bit i did, saturated my heart deeply. I have mad respect for this lady and the only thing i can compare the limitations of my respect to, is the courage she has in herself, which display no limitation.Thank you for your support of her cause and her courage..

You are a gentleman and a scholar,

Hey Val,

As to the heart, of the person, this poem meant to encouraged. You are a (wonderfully), strong lady Valerie and for you i am beyond proud, to have met and been able to place a smile, even if it is temporarily, (on the  face of an Angel of God), where it should have been placed, for her, forever and always....

Your Friend for always,

Valerie,

I pray, God bless you Valerie, for someone with a heart as humble as yours and with nothing but kindness and kind words, for all those, that have been blessed to have acquainted you.Lady he owes you and to night, (just as all those long nights before this one), i will put in play, my prayer, for your well over do gift, of all gifts to have been given, that wish, (you not only carry in your heart), every waking day you have faced but the one you have with faith, placed in the depths, of your very positive and with full of hope, courageous mind.............Continue to stand tall Valerie, for this year, you will be receiving, all that you have asked of God and that God, so much wants to give and owe to you..I lost my mom on 1/05/2014 and buried her yesterday, i lost a big part of me but i was there to take care of her, for the last (7) months of her life, up until her final hour, as  she departed this world and walked through the doors of heaven.People tell me, that she is in a better place and she hurts no more, this may be true Valerie but she has left the hurt to me, now to bear and it truly do hurt....Take Care dear lady and your comment has placed a smile, where there crept once, lonesome and despair and i Thank you immensely...

Jimmy

Thanks Valerie,

Seems as though the tables has turned a little, as it pertains to being the stronger and i thank you for the shoulder you have lent me and the beautiful words of the deepest and dearest expressions you have bestowed upon me and because of you, the pain that resignates, on not just at the surface top but deep within, has humbled and last night, (unlike none before nor after her death), i received and surrendered to a peaceful nights rest and awake to a wonderfully bright sunny day and with a new attitude, on what i have to do, in order to shake this monkey of sorrow from my back...You are a wonderful friend and i sincerely thank you for being here...

Forever and always,

Jimmy

Flowers of Purple,

Once again we meet and i thank you for such a sentimental response to this poem for our dear and kind hearted friend,(Valerie Lynn and Jason Luke). She deserves all that God has to offer, especially a road paved not necessarily of gold, because she ask not of that but of one paved with a promise of better health, longevity of life and a chance o experience once again, the full relationship she so truly loved and wish to take part of again with her truest of love and friend of all friends,Jason Luke...Just a pebble in a pond of many,to some but to her, this would be the ultimate miracle, which she so desire and honestly deserve to receive, once again and for always and with out hesitation of thought, from the man stationed, high up above..Believe you me, if she had all that is desired by her, she i guarantee would be one not to ponder her to manage her given blessings, her and Jason Luke both....They will always have my prayers in heart...

Thanks again,

Jim
