Poem -

I leave this Town

I have been here for too many years

I have waited to exit

My siblings have grown

I can see an exit

I can now choose a place for me

There are no loved loves to leave behind

My exit will matter little to no one

My exit will be my dream and for me

I did my time as a mother and protector

I sought solace in what this day would bring

ME without chains that can never be broken

They are still there but worn and gather rust

I leave this town a happy lady

IĀ want to explore my own dreamĀ
