I love you but I'm not in love with you

The day we sat in or room you said ten words I felt pain I never knew. 
As day's and weeks passed us by it took a lot of time to realise your heart was never mine. 
As month's went  by I thought things would change but I had a feeling that things would never be the same.

 As your heart had ventured on to someone new I couldn't believe you could still talk to me like I never knew.
 As year's go by I hope things could change because my love for you will always remain the same. 

As time is a good healer and your best friend it took me a lot of courage to write this down with my pen. 
I sometimes wonder was your love to me ever real the way you gave your heart away so easy just to have it flung back to you so easily....
