Poem -

I Miss...

I miss waking up in the morning,

Look over and there you are.

Now when I awake I’m alone in bed,

‘cause you’re so very far.

I miss the sound of your voice,

When you’re whispering in my ear.

Wishing upon that star at night,

That soon you will be here.

I miss that look in your eyes,

When you gaze down on me.

Inside I feel so isolated,

When will they set you free?

I miss the touch of your hands,

Holding me so tight.

To be in your arms once again,

The feeling is so “right”.

I miss the beat of your heart,

It was like music to my ears.

And your shoulder was a sponge,

That absorbed all of my tears.

I miss just being with you,

I long for your return.

Passion like an endless flame,

Eternally will burn.

Lovely poem. Expresses passion in a very simple but powerful way.
