I MISS YOU

I MISS YOU

MY DEAREST HONEYCOMB,
THE SWEETNESS OF MY LIFE,
MY MIND REMAINS RESTLESS
SINCE YOU FADED FROM MY EYES.

THE NIGHTS GROW LONGER
AND SILENCE HAS BECOME
MY GREATEST ENEMY,
FOR THERE IS NO NOISE IN THE AIR
TO DISTRACT MY THOUGHTS
OF WHAT USED TO BE.

WHEN THE MORNING AWAKES,
IT FINDS ME COUNTING THE HOURS
OF OUR LAST EMBRACE,
HOW I MISSED THE SMELL OF YOUR HAIR
AND THE SPLENDOR
OF YOUR BEAUTIFUL FACE.

O MY ROSE OF SHARON,
MY LIFE IS PUT ON PAUSE,
AND UNTIL YOUR PERFUME
INOCULATES THE AIR I BREATHE
ETERNITY FOR ME
WILL BE LOST.

WILFORD BARKER.

Heartfelt, very thoughtful incorporating all the senses, it really gives strength to the words and shows how you love the little things. Stay strong!
