I NEED YOUR PROTECTION

I NEED YOUR PROTECTION

I faint because of mine enemies
They lie in wait for my soul
I am afraid of walking in the noonday
They crouch like vicious dogs
At my door

At work the gossip about me
Even though I heal their wounds
I gave to those that asked of me
And in the blizzard, I take them home

Why do they hate me without a cause
When all I show them is love
I need you heavenly protection
Please! Guide me from above

Let me not take matters
Into my own hands
And fall into their snare
Protect me, O Great Jehovah
And with your loving kindness
Draw me near.
