I QUIT (The Life of a Car Salesman)

I QUIT (The Life of a Car Salesman)

A long, hard day of stress and grief

with whispered insults - I grit my teeth.

My blood boils as I face the facts

that I'm working for a man who treats me like an ass.

Treats me like I'm worthless, sets me up to fail-

Then becomes my greatest friend when I finally make a sale.

All of these car salesmen, packed like sardines in a can -

Running after customers to buy a car, a truck, or van.

"Take a ride in this one! It's only 70 G's! It has all the special features, it's the nicest one you'll see!"

After 6 long hours of trying to make a deal, I find out that this customer can't even afford a meal.

Next in comes a lady, she is searching for a truck. She wants it extra special, but she's sadly out of luck. You can't trade in a bicycle and expect to make a buck.

The day is finally closing, my boss tells us to punch out.

So I gladly tighten up my fists and knock the fucker out.

I QUIT.

Hello Rachel...

Pull up to a car dealership is definitely the place to go if you want attention...

It's like a swarm of bees with a smile...

A friend of mine just spent $80,000 for a truck...

I asked him if it drove for him...

Does it have a slide out kitchen?

He said no to both...

He said it would have been extra...

LOL!

I said I bet that salesperson left right after you so he wouldn't be there once it sunk in...

Great write!

Thank you for sharing...

Hugs...

LOL! Thanks for the comment. It's quite a grueling business - my boyfriend, who sells cars got a kick out of it :)

No wonder he can't make a sale...that's a lot to pay for a car!!!

Hilarious! Though I hope it's not autobiographical!!

Haha, thanks J!! Not autobiographical, but live with a car salesman, so I feel his pain!

Thanks for the comment :)

LMAO!  A pin worthy poem that captures the frustration of working in America.
