I remember

I remember my first BMX was yellow.
Rode it in Victoria Park on the grass.
I remember feeling upset and confused cos Dad got mad. First time I said raass.
Theses times Madonnas 'like a virgin' was playing.
I asked Mum
What she mean? What's she saying?
Mum quickly said errm it's something new and not old.
When I grew to realise how she'd explained it.
I laughed till my sides I did hold.
I remember going on school trips. 
you know the ones where your active outdoors.
one year we were all out on a gallop.
I was the only one to stay up on the horse. 
I remember seeing their mother for the first time.
Her eyes were a dazzling blue.
I remember thinking I could have a child with this girl.
I was blessed and lucky to  get two.
well your probably bored by now.
so I'll stop I'll give up I surrender.
Just, sometimes it's nice to put on rose tints, and think of the things you remember.
