Poem -

I sank

I sank

Her bulbous shape slid into the water
a mask of monstrosities
hide her physiognomies

Makeup thick as plaster
gold jewellery
thick red rimmed plastic glasses
mascara...

Her perfume dissipates over the rippled surface
like a pyroplastic flow
a Krakatoa of the 21st century
an unnatural disaster

Meanwhile I'm
gliding like a whale shark
the air is hot and damp
I filter out a stray pube
her musk catches me off guard..

At that moment I ungracefully
spluttered...
Then sank

Syd, I had to read this a couple of times, it's very descriptive, especially that stray pube, I can't stop laughing, I had to read it to my wife

Her response

"Men"
