I say Eureka!

I say Eureka!

How I wish you were right
With your prescriptions and lab-coats white
A case of delusion, madness, or derangement
How easy it’d be, if it were all an illusion
Or a mere spell of sadness, depressive disengagement

When I now see clearly, you call me “blind”
Enlightened, really, “a broken mind”
Revelations and prophecies, “a fool’s inanity”

You say insanity
I say Eureka!

You think I’m a freak, huh?
In need of your critique, huh?
See what I see, why dontcha?
You’d go mad after a peek, I betcha!
Screaming from demons out to getcha!
Now look who’s the freak, huh?

You say insane,
I say the rest of you are!
Though to see what I see, unable to explain
I guess anybody would go insane
For all of you, still calling yourself sane
I won’t break your spell
And whisk you away to this hell
I’ll be the demented and bizarre
And never tell

Wow SG!!....I Love the wordplay that you have created here.....all the "dontcha's betcha's, & getcha's" that are so hard to rhyme normally.....you do a VERY creative thing with those phrasings.....with ~ "freak, huh?" & "critique, huh?".....just VERY clever stuff dear poet sister!!....and your overall intent is conveyed beautifully.......I'd say you summed it up pretty well with ~ "Depressive disengagement"......challenging the status quo is something you do VERY well SG!!.......ALL STARS!!......well conceived and VERY well delivered!!......LOVE & ROCKETS!!.....T xo  : )
