I Sing Because Of Them

I Sing Because Of Them

It was a brother who told me not to bother
A friend who came to my defence
when I was down and drowning

Without this family, where would I be?
It was a sister who nursed me like a baby
when I was beaten by defeat;
when I promised never to try again

Through their words, I dropped the gun;
I descended from the tree where I planned to hang
They held me together when I was broken
I’m alive because they breathed life into me
I’ll forever sing their praise songs

Sure. The've been very supportive; especially my siblings. They've lifted me in many of my difficult times. I can't thank them enough.
