Poem -

I Suffer With A Smile

To endure painĀ
The kind that melts away your skin
And eats at your bonesĀ
For months and months on endĀ
It creates organic strengthĀ
To help you hold up the worldĀ
In order to tackle every future hardship
Like a dung beetle
Carrying excrement up a large green hill
Regardless of how horrible our lives are
We have to continue to live
As the birds continue to fly,Ā
And the currents continue to flow
Knowledge can only be obtained through lossĀ
I smile at the painĀ
That would leave me broken beforeĀ
Because I understandĀ
That through the flames of sufferingĀ
I shall be reborn into a better person.
