Poem -

Waiting

Sending out written pieces
Hoping that each one is okay
Without my hand to hold
Swimming as if they are
Mandarin ducks
Traveling across greenish water
Anticipation fills my heart
With clear chalk streams
Praying that my words
Paint a memorable picture
One that will hang
On creations wall
Even when I’m gone
Waiting is exciting but difficult
As long as one of them
Makes it. Gets published.
I will be able to cope
With these silent periods.

Nice write...why not try and publish in an anthology collection? You don't get paid but your poem is published x

Thank you :) I've been published in a lot of places, I just wanted to write this for authors who feel this way.

I certainly agree with you, K.G. and thanks for sharing.

Books don't sell well, particularly poetry nowadays,
and most authors need to find money from somewhere
to support their hobbies, unfortunately.

Kind regards,
Yiyan
