Poem -

i surrender

i surrender

my jaw hurts
just like the day you left me behind
clenched
like your fists were while wrapped around my heart
it kills with every beat
with every throb
the night grew dark
my world drew blank
so did my head
when my body went numb
i decided to quit
i surrender
on my knees
with my feelings at gun point
under the moon
you fired
and i fell
silent
