Poem -

I thought I forgave them

Forgiveness...have you ever lied to yourself about it?
Like...have you ever tried to convince yourself that you were over something, and your success turned out to be a temporary persuasion that eventually faded, vividly reminding you of something you hated as if you had NEVER forgave?
But you tried, you tried to move on
I mean, it's not like you WANT to hate someone's guts years after they've hurt you
They're living life without you on their mind so why can't you do the same?
You wanna know why?
Its because YOU let THEM in so who really carries the blame?
Unable to forgive yourself is a terrible, terrible pain
As for the people who've hurt you;
Whenever you see their face and hear their names, it's impossible to fake forgiveness when you feel that rage
