I Want The Time Back

I Want The Time Back

Which 'time' would you like - when you were small,
or last year perhaps at your graduationĀ  ball,
when you first made love and met someone,
what were the moments when you had most fun.

It's children now, grown up past what you had,
and they tell you: 'Don't be so yesterday dad,'
'Listen, I say,' At least I did as I was told,'
they said, 'Which is why now that you're feeling old.'

Can you imagine today's kids being outrated?
The robots could remind them that they're overrated,
look at the picture, holding a silly tablet with me,Ā
they wouldn't know everything's replaced with esp.

The time will come, even you will be overtaken,
if you think that you will ever keep up - you're mistaken.Ā
