I won't forget

My heart has been through a lot, 
Sometimes when I feel really empty I smile as if I forgot, 
Forgot that your words brought upon these beautiful scars,
Forgot that you've moved on and I have not, 
Forgot that you don't love me and that you love her,
Forgot the pain and suffering,
Forgot that I was only part of your world when it was convenient, 
Forgot that was I just an escape from another nightmare, 
Forgot that when I turned into a nightmare you needed another escape,
Forgot that the way they get you is the way they'll leave you,
Forgot that we don't exist in each other's life's, 
Forgot that we were once happy, 
Forgot that I don't matter to you,
Now I smile because I forgive but I won't forget.
