Identity Blunder

Identity Blunder

(circa 2014)

As I exited my car
at the store,
two ladies were waiting
to enter their Jeep
I parked next to.

Hello ladies
and have a
great day!

One of the ladies
with a perturbed look
said, "I am not a lady,
I am a man!"

I LIED and said,
Pardon me,
the summer sun
was in my eyes.
Have
a great day!

How does one
recover when pulling
and identity faux pas
such as that?

It is a brave new
world for the
straight heterosexual
learning about the
transexual and
transgender
identifying
world.
