IF!!

If I should stand for anything 
May my feet be planted in his word
May his righteousness consume my conscience 
And his wisdom balance my thoughts 

If I should fall in battle 
To forces beyond my strength 
May my bed be prepared by his angles 
And my soul be heaven sent 

If I should be remembered 
By those that's left behind 
May it be said of me the sinner
That I was thoughtful funny and kind 

One who has pushed himself 
Every day of his life
Not to amass riches that perish
But that which is Devine 

If words is said at my gravesite 
Don't fill the curious with gas
Let your words be few but encouraging 
Shining the light on a righteous life
That lasts.
