If I could, would I?
If I could go back in time and change my path in life
Would I choose the same settlement as a mother and a wife.Â
Could I take what I have learnt and avoid some same mistakes.Â
Could I have made better judgements with the fraudsters and the fakes.Â
Would I live my time again to build up more regrets
And would I play it safe this time, or hedge on all my bets.Â
Would I right the many wrongs, or avoid them at all costsÂ
Would I find myself again, in the times that I was lost.Â
If I chose another path, I don’t know what would beÂ
But I do know for certain, that it would truly not be me.Â
This path that I have chosen has clearly chosen me
So the past is put in memories and the future is yet to see.

Hi Kayleigh...I have often thought that if I could go back in time and do things differently, would I? It is something most people think of? I am sure, if they have suffered a lot of hurt in their lives. I have come to the unwavering decision that I would not change a thing because despite the heartache I had a lot of good things happen i.e my children. If I had done things differently i may not have had them. So, even if i could...i would not. I love this poem and the question it ponders x
