IF I HAD MY WAY...
If I had my way, I’d be a keeper of instrumental value,
Inner knowledge of emotions kept at bay, browsing for some clue.
If I may wonder, contemplate; even pray a sugarcoated existence,
Sought after and highly deserved, every fiber is radiated, extremely tense.
If I had my way, if only….. I would fly to the far reaches of contentment,
Domineering, yet passive, two become one, a hard push and a soft shove.
If I may wonder, bliss erupted within a volcano of passion well spent,
Using the compass of past relationships, guiding one; directing another
If I had my way, empathy from a perspective of knowledge for the unseen,
Apprehension dissolving, claiming a resounding satisfied future
If I may wonder, various tendencies would dissolve, accepting the power of love
A resilient commitment, choice resounding, safeguarding the future, our happiness

I am amazed you hid your talent for so long! You lead me to believe I was the writer in the family...then you show me this! I love you! I am so proud of you!
You just never know what will inspire someone.....I wrote this in 20 minutes as I was reflecting on a situation in my life......poetry is such a release of energy, love, affection, affliction, sadness, happiness, joy, dreams.... and...and...and.... knowing that you just let it flow, naturally, you are gifted with true talent.  Keep writing baby and let those words be heard and love yourself as you know others love you, especially your Mom!Â
