If I Said Goodbye

If I said goodbye, would it make a sound?
If I found a spot, just to take my life, would you let me now?
Why do I want to disappear so badly?
I lost my family, I just want to drink.
I failed to be the man, I need to be.
I want the whiskey, to drown me deep.
Falling in a bottomless defeat.
Why? I lost my way, too much dark, making night as day.
Just trying to get to me.
Help? Why bother? There's no helping me.
For useless I am, at least, I do think.
I don't want to get lost to brink.
Trying to top mountain peak.
So I carry this candle, steady, trying to keep it lit.
Please forgive me, for if I slip.
So many times I dream of you, wishing you were here.
Sitting by my side, laughing, oh what a sight.
Daddy won't give up on him, I'll keep pushing on, fighting against the wind.
Hoping we can meet again, know daddy will always be your friend.
I'll be here till the end, daddy loves you.
Wherever you may be, I won't say goodbye, for one day I'll see you soon.
I'm here my girls, for you.
