If I was a wise old Owl🦉

If I was a wise old Owl🦉

If I was a wise old Owl 🦉
~
Oh clandestine creature you captivate me

And I envy your home up aheight in a tree

As you sit in the moonlight so secretly

Under that shade of your countryside canopy

Just the thought of this haven fills me with glee...
~

If I was a wise old Owl like you

Could I climb a high mountain out of the blue ?

But Oh  I would so die for that beautiful view

With the valleys below me and yon colourful hue

Oh If only i could do the things that you do...
~
Do you even know how lucky you are ?

As those wonderful wings fly you afar

Just to sit by the light of a twinkling star

Now this is a priviledge and so beautifully bizarre

“Hey but I may come back as a barn Owl in my afterlife...well who knows hahaha”...

A neat write that certainly delivers the owl goods, you are nature's observer.
And love how you ended on a bit of great comedy.
Thanks Jill and I wish you and all owls well.
