Poem -

" If it was "

" If it was "

If it was a song”
Then I will just get a rhyme
And write a few lines
And just keep on repeating them

If it was a gift
I would just buy something expensive
Wrap it in nice paper with a bow
And then it will be ready to give

If it was a news paper
Then I will just read the sports page
Then if I don’t recycle
I will just throw it in the garbage

If it was a sports car
Then I’ll fill it up with gas today
Put on some bob Marley cds
And drive across the USA

But it’s  my broken heart
And I don’t know how to get it mend
Because i miss her every day
And it hurts like it will never end

If it was a record
Then I will play it all day
Then dance and sing along
As the music plays

If it was face book
Then i would just change my display
And read what my friends post
And see a million selfies everyday

If it was an aeroplane
Then could fly down to Trinidad
And drink some Carib beer on the beach
And pretend i was never be sad

But it’s my love for her
And the magic in her eyes
And I love her so much more
Than all The stars up in the skies

If it was the guitar
Then i would learn to play
And then you would have seen me
on american idol every Wednesday

But its my love for her
That wont go away
And when i miss her
Its tears me apart everyday
