If it was as easy

I would know how to give you my heart

If it was as unsettling as an earthquake that 
Came with no warning
And then was still
My soul could be given
For it would require no thought

My spirit is clenched tighter than a fist
And I wail in onlyness
For you

If it was as easy as words said to please others and I said them
You would know
For  I could never lie to you who holds my soul

For a child's loving giving without question is all you ask
If it were easy to be young again
And simple heart fast 
As the snow that covers every thing
