If Only

If Only

You blind me
with the pure
super nova brilliance
of your dazzling smile
that requires sun block

My challenge
is to capture that light
then bask
in the forever glow
as your devoted satellite

but how
to make this
high voltage connection
when my very presence
is but a minor blip
in your shiny existence?

If only there was a way
for me to unlock
the painful indifference
you convey
in my direction

If only
I flew with
the angel crowd

If only
I weren't so
constantly

blandly

ordinary
