IF ONLY YOU KNEW

If only you knew what goes on behind my door
The secrets are mine alone that's for sure
Sure you can speculate most people do anyway
I've overheard them talk in town I have to say

Probably best you don't know well that's my view
The beatings I receive leave me black and blue
They are well hidden so you wouldn't have a clue
My tears constantly falling onto a paper tissue

I think to myself that I'm just another statistic
Beaten by a monster who's cruel and sadistic
He's a control freak with a violent temper to boot
A bully of the highest order and certainly a brute
