If There Were No Windows

If there were no windows the world would be forgotten
Isolated from human touch and of mind and body the spirits lost
No need to get out just caught in a trap, of solitude confinement
To wither away, loss of hunger, memory would fade and loneliness
Would enter the body, depression would set and nothing to look forward
Without a view nothing to see I surely would soon become blind by day
If there were no windows I could not get fresh air, I would sufficate in my own breath
Lost in my silence I would soon go mad, no where to escape to
Only the windows of my mind, and they too would simply fly away

A mood provoking write Nancy and a thought I am still pondering. Â Really enjoyed this write and its openness to interpretation :)
Thanks Rachel, I would hate to be in a room without windows for any length of time, it would really send me over the edge!!
Take Care
