If you want love....

I wrote this a while ago, inspired by a song by J-POP Queen Namie Amuro 

How much farther must I go to show that I am willing to do what it takes?
Will the ice melt away once you let me in?
 I look around and I feel like I am bombarded by all these memories
And I find myself surrounded by feelings that I thought were dead.

Who do you think I am?
Am I one you are searching for?
Do you want my help?
If we don’t come together, nothing will ever change.

 Even though you try to be like a chameleon, I can see your true colors
 What is the use of keeping me at a distance?
Do you think your sins are going to scare me away?
If you want love, then you have to understand
That you can’t have pain without pleasure.

I am not here to fight you.
The consequences are too much.
 Trying to survive being closed off to the world is tough
 Don’t be afraid , don’t avert your eyes.
 Sometimes, you have to reach out and grab the chains of faith

 When it feels like you have none to give. Listen!
If you want some wisdom to survive in this broken world
Just replace death with something that is full of life.
 How many times have you just run away from love or hope like that?

Just going in half hearted is meaningless
And sometimes following the light is like an endless race
When times are painful there is always an opportunity
 To hold on to your strength and fight your destiny.

 What is it you fear?
What is it you run from?
Black or White?
It’s nothing more than drama?
What is it that you sneer at?
What is it that you detest?

Does the boundary between love and fear fade?
Where is your heart? Where is your Soul?

You have to remember how important that is
 How has the journey been for you so far?
As long as you know I am with you
We’ll find the answers
