I'm an artist

Art takes me away from the cold world
and places me above it all
gives me the luxury of focusing on my success 
without being closed in by walls
it helps me get through it all
Gives me the strength to pick myself back up when I slip and fall
music is my art and it never fails me
pushes me forward with a small breeze like I'm sailing
its the root to all happiness 
it keeps me smiling 
I put the ear buds in my ears and the negativity disappears
the music empties my soul from the toxic water levels 
keeps me from drowning
the words of great minds sound so outstanding 
brings me out of my cocoon
to become a beautiful butterfly
making my first landing
