Poem -

I'm in the DARK

I'm in the dark, and I'm scared, not of the shadows, nor the open closet door, but that of whether she's there?!

This fear is crippling, and born from loss, it breeds within those thoughts of regret, and promises never met.

It kills the feeling, the feeling of desire, too old to be needed or not in their league to be wanted; too lost in the void to be noticed by others.

The age is a distance, the grey is apparent, all of the above is the darkness, that keeps them at bay.

I'm now on borrowed time, days are getting shorter, as the years l get older, she's out there, and I'm scared.
