I'm just a gym shoe

I'm just a gym shoe, nobody respects me,
I'm all untied, and kids neglect me.
I have mud on my strings, and poop on my bottom,
I've seen no cleaning tools, like my user forgot em'.
I'm constantly stepped on, every day,
I'm used to my capacity, in every known way.
People run in me, work in me, and throw me around,
But I'm content with this life, so I don't make a sound.
My owner lets the dog, chew up my skin,
Now covered in slobber, with holes in my chin.
I constantly get lost, often left in the heat,
When all I want to do is hold some feet.
I have a distant cousin, his name is loafer,
He's treated like royalty, in a box, driven chauffeur.Â
He often gets polished, he also gets washed,
While I am dirty all the time, getting trampled and squashed.
Even my sister gets better treatment than me,
She's a tutu shoe, and everyone wants to see.
As her user dances a ballet so crisp,
The audience applauds my sisters usefulness.
Do I get applauded for standing firm,
When my user hikes trails, and I work full-term?
While IÂ grip the ground, to ensure he runs fast,
Do I get recognition for the test I just passed?
My big brother Boot went off to the war,
He just sent me a message that he feels kinda sore.
But he holds the feet of a hero, fighting for our rights,
Traveling the world, and witnessing great sights.
But I'm just a gym shoe, I don't get special perks,
I'm not satisfied with life, because it never works.
My life is so dismal, thank God I'm idle,
Cause if I was alive I'd be surely suicidal.Â
       I'm just a gym shoe.
