Poem -

I’m lost without you

I’ve been trying to write about you for days, but no words are forthcoming to my mind as effortlessly as they usually do. I walked around five parking lots trying to get a glimpse of you, but trying to find one person in a sea of thousands, is the most troublesome task I’ve ever tried to win. Paying no mind to the footballs just barely skimming my head,to the beer cans flying at me like I was in the middle of a war zone. The only thing on my mind was you. Walking up and down each row of the five parking lots just looking for your face. Asking the universe to guide me to your set-up,but was never granted the pleasure of finding you. Since that day, you’ve been a constant somewhere deep in my mind. There’s still an unexplainable connection. There’s something there that draws me to you no matter who I’m with, or what I’m doing. If you pop in my mind, you’re stuck there for days that seem like an eternity. Although this I know: when you call, I won’t answer, because you just see me as another girl who would do anything for you. But I’m not her anymore.
