Poem -

I'm Sorry

I see the truth in your eyes.
With no one by your side.
And wonder why all the lies.
Is it worth the ride.

I see the guilt hidden behind a closed shade.
As you cross that line.
Pain that must cut deeper than a blade.
A little fun just one more time.

And all the the pain.
From the deceit.
The scares that remain.
As morals fall to defeat.

Where we all that wrong.
How. It felt so right.
Standing next to me you where strong.
Pulling me in close and holding me tight.

It was only for a short while.
That we would stay to play.
Now broken without a smile.
And to each other only bad words we say.

We traded our friendship for fun.
Not knowing at the time.
Both lives now under the gun.
Not speaking such as a mime.

I cannot forgive myself for what we done.
A once happy family now broken.
Tears of your crying son.
My heart cries in sorry for the words not spoken.

If ever we shall meet again.
I hope I'm strong enough.
To tell you of or sin.
To release me of my slough.
