I’m writing this to you, to say I’m sorry that we drifted apart
I’m sorry that we no longer have heart to hearts
I’m sorry none of this was my intentions from the start
We used to be so close, we used to be one in the same
But things happened and our lives became similar to a game
We used to call each other best friends
I promise to you, the friendship was real, I never played pretend
Although we have drifted apart, I’ll still be here for you until the very end
I used to think of you as my long lost sister
But something happened, something changed, and we started to play twister
We used to do everything together, we used to be one
We used to be the girls who were afraid of nothing, not even the sun
I’m sorry our friendship has to come to a halt,
But I want to remind you, this is truly no ones fault
Maybe it's time for us to set each other free
Just please as you grow older, don’t forget about me
This is the time to grow stronger apart, this is the time for new things to bloom
I know things are different right now, but I hope we can be close again very soon
