"IMAGINATION IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN INTELLIGENCE "

As Poets writers artists we use our tools well
us writers we have a story, of which we must tell
Many emotions are felt, when we write how we feel
disclosing innermost thoughts, showing the real deal.
The ink upon a page is like its our, blood sweat and tears
it may historical, its today, its tomorrow, its been years
There are philosophical writers, romantics, and so on
and there are topics never ending, unless its a swansong
"Imagination is more important than intelligence" Mr Einstein once said
and we do create from wonderful magical impossibilities, that pop in our heads
For me that says, you don t have to have intellect, to paint or write
you are just blessed with creativity, deep emotion, and foresight.
The painter, his brain see`s in colors, hues, light and shade
his brush creates masterpieces, pictures from his own mind he displays.
He has an eye for beauty and so forth, he is filled to the brim with creativity too
as he paints pictures on canvas`s, in many colors, reds yellows, greens, and blue
Poets writers and artists don`t write or paint, for the glory,or for fame
they do what comes naturally, they have to create, its like a moth to a flame
and if they do become famous per chance, for their natural ability in their art
its a gift they give to us,a piece of their imagination... and what they feel, in their hearts.....

My Dear Debs,
.
Your words have greatly moved me
Brilliant beyond compare
For you've delved into the souls of artists
And shone what's truly there
.
Your insights were genius level
Mr. Einstein would fast applaud
For your imagination surpassed your brainwaves
Your poem I so wholeheartedly do laud!
.
Hugs, Peace and Love,
Larry xxx
:) A work which truly emphasises the virtues of creativity, and the driving forces behind it !
You have written a wonderful piece here.
Warmest wishes. x
You nailed it Deb. As Einstein said " the true sign of intelligence is not knowledge but imagination ""
to be a poet, you don't have to have a diplom, a training. ## it's inherent, it's a God given talent.
hugs and cheers

Words and imagination are free. Ideas are free until they cause war. One my favorite books is BOOKS THAT CHANGED THE WORLD. I wrote my memoir in January, and have been working on poetry because my Grandmothers room-mate in assisted living wrote a book....and when I asked her the title, she said, "I don't know." Seeing Glen Campbell and Robin Williams hit hit with Alzheimer's was my wake up call to tap into my imagination...and to document it for future family members and students from the past who asked me to chronicle my stories.
IMAGINATION - who thought it could bring so much joy?
