Poem -

Immortal Mortality

A beacon holds a lantern bright

Flowing over with shunted light

With all man's anger and all man's rage

The light shines down upon the stage.

With the staircase as if a shadowed tale

It tries to hide our furrowed trail

Over the mountain to heaven's end

Try to tumble life's single bend.

With shadows under the shark still lurks

Take the hit and down to earth

Haunted by the our inevitable death

Soon to remain, robbed of our breath

White and black, black and yellow

Night and day, weeping willow

Past shadowed, supernova

Mask moving, over and over

Over and over, moving mask

Supernova, shadowed past

Willow weeping day and night

Yellow and black, black and white
