In a brown study

In a brown study

Someone said: 'A penny for them,' thoughts we waited,
the price has gone up, since you last asked it's escalated,
now it's ten dollars - my info could be worth a fortune,
if you want to impress me, then give me the moon.

I was thinking that the moon may not be available,
perhaps one of the planets like Mars was suitable,
all those canals - 'Can I canoe you down the river?'
a red one at that, half the money gone for a fiver.

Holidays may be different - a train ride on the Jupiter express,
or a trip around Uranus could be good more or less,
a beach on Mercury may just be beyond comprehension,
going round in circles on Saturn might cause friction.

The money is all spent, perhaps I'll just abstain,
because if I want a new package, then time to think again.
