"In Good Faith"

"When will the active addict,
understand,
nothing flourishes,
without holding God's Hand,
and that their life,
will never be as great,
if a Loving God,
they continue to forsake.

As He waits patiently,
for all those seasons,
the devil's affliction,
makes more incorrect reasons,
for God's Voice,
not to be heard,
or for the active addict,
to learn from The Good Word.

When I entered recovery,
I realized the world,
from the devil's confusion,
was turned tragically upside down,
but Jesus made right,
with His Blessed Truth,
and my feet are now planted,
firmly on the ground,
and I now know,
which way is,
quite assuredly down,
and which is up,
because I know,
with drugs,
'One is too many,
and a thousand,
is never enough.'

Getting clean,
may seem impossible,
but all things are possible,
through God,
if you just reach out,
your hand also,
and receive,
His in good faith,
then you'll start to believe,
all is never lost,
and it isn't all bad,
and this life,
could be better,
than the sweetest dream,
you've ever had!"
