Poem -

In My Head

In My Head

My mind wanders,
escapes.
Into a thought,
a memory.
Until the world around me is not real,
Only the memory.

It fills me with pleasure,
and sometimes with dread.

In this world inside my head,
there are others,
but I am alone.

The passage of time is no longer relevant,
for the world is an endless paradox.

I come back, and wonder where I have been,
when I haven't left at all.

I was in my head.
