In the jungle?

Slithering snake slides down a tree
Go away scary reptile,
Do not come near me

It flicks his tail up,
& makes a familiar sound
Oh goodness gracious
its a rattle snake I’v found

I cannot bear the sight of this
I’m shaking like a leaf
Snakes are just the same as spiders
Just the thought of them is grief

Was this  creature poisonous ?
I wasn’t rightly sure
But if it bit me in this jungle
I would meet my fate for sure

All at once I saw a stranger
holding up a net
He shouted” Have you seen a green snake, I am an animal vet

“ Oh thank the lord” I replied to him
“Yes its over there”
“Ah is that so” he said to me
As he gave me a funny glare

“What are you doing in these woods, it’s not a good idea”
There are dangers lurking all around, you must stick with me
my dear”

Without any hesitation
I put my trust in this vet
He found the snake whilst
Whistling & put it in his net
