In the lap of the Gods

O’er a shadowy silhouetted moorish mountain side
I feast my fascination far and wide
My heart is hammering from the sheer view where I stand
I am in the lap of the Gods from Mother Nature’s command
High up amidst the canvas in the skies as scattered snowflakes caress my eyes

Is there no end to our creator’s delight as I gasp awe-inspired at such a spectacular sight
I am but particle of morning dew dust as I put my faith in her element’s trust
She blows her boisterious bellows to let me know
I am in her mighty hands from the fall below

I holdon with all my force as Northerly winds steer her course
Anchored down beneath stealthy trees they shield me from her wild displease
Yes I froze she almost chilled my very bones from her howling winds with moans and groans
Yet what I would not do to see this all again as yon wonderful waterfall raged down thru the glen
