In This Twilight...

In This Twilight...

I sit by my desk, where a globe glows,
And I scan through old, dusty books.
Through me a warm, inner light flows.
It seems to guide me as I look
For symbols of fortune and hope.
It's getting dark outside; twilight
Is now upon us. The vast cloak
Of night waits in the wings. It's like
The end of all things isn't far
Away. Let's wish upon a star.
