incision
cut me open
cut me twice
a doc's incision
within a trice
an ache in my tummy
a little pain
with elfin blood
my strength regains
cut me open
cut me thrice
a love's incision
a piercing price
an aching core
ail and anguish
my heart is feeble
is for ever languished

Hey BB!!.....long time no read or speak..........been dealing with some stuff...........I liked the succinctness from line to line here..........I hope that elfin blood helps you sweet poetess...........because a torn or broken heart is a tough road..........but ultimately........"almost" always leads to an unexpected joy of some kind..........miss you around here BB!!...........love and rockets!!.........T xx
Bahar, this poem has many layers... I love the elegance and playfulness, and yet it seems to fight against a sad circumstance; it does open up conjecture, but the reader enjoys all that the write conveys, simply well written, gushing with emotion poetry....well done
Thank you Christopher. I was merely trying to communicate that sometimes losing a lover can be more painful than physical pain. Thanks for reading.
