Inevitable Lonliness

The surge of sadness puts me in its clenched fist
I am all alone
Everyone I once knew had been long gone, just a withered old memory
I reminisce and realize, I am the only one left
God has deserted me and left me in the worst kind of hell there is
The hell of knowing all you have loved and cherished in your life has long since past
They had moved on to a better place.
But I was deserted here to be left wondering, When did everybody leave? Why was I left behind?
