Infatuation
Infatuation,
Is it lust?
Why does it give excitement and thrills?
And then lashes out depression and chills?
Infatuation,
Is it random?
Does it occur at unexpected situations?
Or is it just destiny?
Is it just at that moment?
Or does it last till infinity?
Infatuation,
Why does it hurt?
When you crush says no?
Why does it make you sanity go?
Why does it fill your chest with pain,
Like cold, dagger like rain.
Infatuation,
Is it sincere love?
Like a beautiful, snow white dove?
Or is it just lustful captivation?

Love is simply lust that comes with a heftier price tag, Onel.
Neither of them lasts for very long.
Best just to make an agreement right up front to have sex with no strings attached and go about your merry way.
That way, no one's feelings get hurt.

Still, that doesn't make it any less true.
Love is a pipe dream, a myth, a delusional, irrational rarity.
And yes, having someone around simply for sex is more than a bit narcissistic.
But at least it's honest.
