Injustice

A great injustice has been done
A great injustice has begun
The time is now to change 
The time is now to rearrange
To save ourselves from this fate
Of hurling headlong towards the hate
We live now when those in power
Would rather those they serve cower
Our country has a glaring rift
Surely we can coexist
To remind the powers, which the abuse,
Whom it really is who turns the screws
