Inner Demons

There is a black darkness
that stirs within my heart
A darkness that burdens 
this soul of mine
I hear a voice that screams
in the shadow of the night
That tears this beating 
heart of mine

What have I done to have
this faith laid upon me
But have this inner demon
split my soul in two
I am losing control of 
the life I walk
Making me a puppet that
is controlled by you

This demon controls my soul within
pulling me into the eternal flames
Hell has been waiting for
this soul of mine
And the demon i am fighting
inside is about to win the war
The heat rises from the flames
within the ground

As the smell of death lingers
within the midnight hour
The clock strikes midnight as
darkness tears my soul
For I can not win the battle
with this inner demon
I stand alone to fight the battle
as blood stain tears fall

I look into the flames of hell
as the shadows do a dance
My time has come to close eyes
as I take my last breath
I say good bye to the world I live
for my inner demon won the battle
