Inner Self

Inner Self

Carve the flesh from my muscle and thigh,
See me bleed upon myself and die.
Rip my intestines from my pit,
Stamp on my larynx with force and grit.

Crush my bones into dust,
Take your sword and into me thrust.
Callously scald me If you dare,
Dismantle my body and tell me its fair!

Mere broken vessel lay in a heap,
Human debris is not worth your weep.
My soul is my aura free of your crude,
This is my haven where you’ll not intrude!

No such enigma is more unique than you,
We’re more than we seem, we’re not see through.
We’re more than our bodies mould us to be,
Our light will ignite if you choose to see.
