INNOCENT TRUST

INNOCENT TRUST

Innocent trust
It's not given, but earned
Trust is so fragile
As I've come to learn
It's not easily mended
And only time will tell
If with patience and love
Will be coaxed from her shell
Her heart, that was once very sure
Has learned to be afraid
Once fear enters a timid heart
Trust tends to shy away and fade
It takes someone with tenderness
To be able to reach out
To rebuild her trust and confidence
And free her from her doubt
Soft spoken words
A gentle touch
Love can do the impossible
Though you thought it wasn't much
